ビターズは、ハーブやスパイスから作られた強い風味のお酒で、カクテルの風味付けや消化の助けに少量使われます。

'bitters' は常に複数形で使われ、一瓶でも 'bitters' と呼びます。通常そのまま飲まず、カクテルに加えるのが一般的です。'Angostura bitters' や 'orange bitters' などの種類が有名です。
