Definition

웃음이나 감정을 참거나 말을 삼키기 위해 일부러 자신의 입술을 이로 깨무는 것.

직역(실제로 입술을 깨무는 상황) 또는 비유적(감정이나 말을 참고 숨기는 의미로)으로 모두 사용됨. 'She bit her lip to...'와 같은 문장에서 자주 쓰임.

She bites her lip when she is nervous.

그녀는 긴장하면 **입술을 깨문다**.
