権威ある人からの正式な依頼や命令を指します。文学的またはフォーマルな場面で使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'behest'は非常にフォーマルまたは文学的な表現で、日常会話ではほぼ使いません。「at someone's behest」は「〜の要請（命令）で」という意味です。単なる「リクエスト」や「提案」には使いません。
