努力や時間がかかった後に成果や結果が出ること。文字通り植物についても使えるが、比喩的に使うことが多い。

ビジネスや学問などフォーマルな文脈によく使われます。日常会話で木の実の話としてはあまり登場しません。“fruitful”とは使い方が違います。
