أن تدرك أو تكتشف شيئًا، وغالبًا عندما تكتشف سرًا أو خطة مخفية. وتستخدم أيضًا عند مراقبة أو ملاحقة شخص أو شيء عن كثب.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تعبير غير رسمي يُستخدم عند اكتشاف سر أو خطة ("I'm onto something")، أو عند ملاحقة أحد ("The police are onto him"). لا تخلط بينها وبين 'be on' (يكون على شيء) أو 'be into' (يحب أو يهتم بشيء).
