'Batted' é o passado de 'bat'. Pode significar ter batido em algo com um taco (em desportos) ou ter piscado rapidamente as pestanas.

Usado formalmente no desporto, como basebol ou críquete: 'batted the ball.' Também aparece em expressões como 'batted an eye' (mostrar pouca emoção). Não se usa para o animal 'morcego'. Não confundir com 'beat' ou 'hit'.
