結婚告示は、二人が結婚する意志を公に知らせるために教会で発表されるお知らせです。異議がある場合は申し出ることができます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

現代の日常会話ではあまり使われず、主に歴史的またはキリスト教の結婚式に関連します。「the bannsを読む」「bannsの発表」などと使われます。
