বাড়ির পেছনে অবস্থিত জায়গা, যেখানে মানুষ আরাম করে, বাগান করে বা খেলাধুলা করে।

'পিছনের উঠান' সাধারণত গ্রামের বা শহরতলির বাড়িতে বেশি দেখা যায়। অনেক সময় ইংরেজি 'backyard' শব্দটিই ব্যবহার করা হয়।
