ツツジは春に咲く、色鮮やかな花をつける低木で、庭や公園の観賞用として人気があります。

複数形（ツツジ）は庭や造園でよく使います。単数形は「ツツジの花」など。ツツジとシャクナゲは似ていますが別の植物です。「ツツジの木」「ツツジ庭園」など表現されます。
