何かが起こるのではないかと不安や心配を感じること。特に将来について不安がある時に使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

フォーマルな場面でよく使います。「apprehensive about」や「feel apprehensive」の形で出ることが多いです。「anxious」よりも軽く、「worried」よりも強いニュアンスです。ワクワク感は表せません。
