'अंथिल्स' आमतौर पर बाहर मिट्टी के प्राकृतिक टीले (घोंसले) के लिए प्रयोग होता है, घर में बनाए गए 'ant farm' के लिए नहीं। अक्सर बहुवचन में कई घोंसलों की बात की जाती है।
