주로 영국 영어에서 쓰며, 미국 영어에서는 'annex'가 더 흔함. 별도의 부속 건물을 의미하고, 문서 첨부에는 쓰이지 않음. 학교, 호텔, 사무실 등에서 자주 사용됨.
