Definition

如果某事是 allowed，表示它被规则、法律或有权力的人许可。也就是说，你可以做这件事或拥有它，而不算违反规定。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))

常用于 'be' 后面，如 'is allowed'、'are not allowed'。后面常接 'to' + 动词（'You are allowed to leave'），也可用于物品规定（'Phones are not allowed'）。'Allowed' 表示“被许可”，不要和表示“有能力”的 'able' 混淆。
