멘토나 지도교수에게 정기적으로 조언이나 지도를 받는 학생 등을 의미합니다.

주로 학문적 또는 멘토링 관계에서 사용되며, 공식적으로 멘토에게 배정된 학생을 지칭할 때 쓴다. 'advisor/advisee relationship'와 같은 표현에서 자주 사용.
