Definition

对事物进行小幅更改，以修复、改进或适应新情况。也可以指适应新环境的过程。

多用于指幅度较小的更改，既可以指实物（如椅子的'调整'），也可以指心理或社会适应（如新的工作需要'适应期'）。比'更改'更正式，经常和“进行调整”、“需要调整”连用。不同于“修改”(modification)，后者通常指更大或永久性的变化。
