التأجيل هو إيقاف أو إنهاء اجتماع أو جلسة محكمة أو تجمع رسمي آخر عادة بنية استكماله لاحقاً.

"Adjournment" كلمة رسمية تستعمل غالباً في الاجتماعات القانونية أو الحكومية. من الاستخدامات الشائعة: 'motion for adjournment', 'adjournment of the meeting'. لا تخلط بينها وبين 'cancellation' (إلغاء نهائي) أو 'break' (استراحة قصيرة).
