이 표현은 자신의 의견을 말한 후 상대방의 동의를 구하거나 확인할 때 사용하는 말로, '그렇지?'와 비슷하다.

비격식적이고 주로 대화에서 사용된다. '오늘 춥지 않니?'처럼 문장 끝에 오는 경우가 많다. 상대의 동의를 바랄 때 쓴다.

It's a beautiful day, wouldn't you say?

오늘 정말 날씨 좋지, **그렇지 않니?**

This cake tastes amazing, wouldn't you say?
