Definition
誰かや何かにとても近い距離。声をかければ届くくらい近いこと。目標などにもうすぐ手が届きそうな時にも使う。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
カジュアルな表現。実際の距離や目標達成の「すぐ近く」に使う。フォーマルな場には不向き。「within shouting distance of ...」のように使われる。遠い距離には使わない。
