Limpar um líquido, sujidade ou confusão de uma superfície com um pano, papel ou algo do género.

Expressão informal e frequente para limpeza, principalmente de líquidos («wipe up the water»). Não confundir com 'wipe off', que é mais usado para pó ou resíduos. Usa-se bastante com 'spill', 'mess' ou líquidos.
