물이 너무 깊지 않을 때, 걸어서 물을 건너 반대편으로 이동하는 것.

얕은 물에서만 사용하며, 헤엄칠 때는 쓰지 않습니다. 하천, 홍수 지역에 자주 쓰입니다. 발이 바닥에 닿는 상태여야 합니다.
