何かを体内や内側に取り込むこと。例えば、植物が水分を吸収したり、人が新しい知識や情報を受け入れること。

主に科学や医療分野で使用。例：'栄養の吸収'、'速い吸収'。比喩的に理解や受け入れにも使われますが、物理的に「取る」意味ではあまり使いません。
