何かをわざとではなく、知らずにやってしまうこと。意図がないまま起こる場合に使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「intentionally（意図的に）」の反対で、「うっかり」や「知らず知らずに」という時に用いられます。主に動詞の前に置きます。口語・文章ともによく使います。
