“townie” 指住在小鎮或城市的人，尤其在大學城裡不是學生的本地人。也用來指當地人，而非遊客。

屬於非正式說法，主要在英美大學城環境出現。有時語氣中性，有時略帶貶義，通常用來區分本地人與學生或外來者。較少見於非大學城情境。
