Definition
Um 'toller' é alguém cujo trabalho é cobrar pedágios (taxas para passar por estradas, pontes etc.) ou, em uso antigo, uma pessoa que toca o sino, geralmente em igrejas ou funerais.

Pouco usado em inglês moderno; o comum é 'toll collector'. O sentido de 'sineiro' é arcaico. Pode aparecer em contextos históricos ou literários. Não confunda com 'taller' (mais alto).
