Una caña es una manija larga que se usa para dirigir un bote pequeño girando el timón. También puede referirse a una herramienta para arar la tierra en jardinería.

Se usa sobre todo en temas náuticos, especialmente en botes y veleros. En jardinería se dice 'tiller' para referirse a maquinaria agrícola ('motocultor'). No confundir con el brote de raíz en biología (poco común).
