긴 기둥에 줄로 매단 공을 서로 반대 방향으로 쳐서 줄이 기둥에 감기도록 하는 게임입니다.

북미 지역 학교나 놀이터에서 주로 볼 수 있으며, 게임 자체나 도구, 공 모두 지칭할 수 있습니다. '배구'와 달리 1대1 또는 순서대로 게임합니다.
