यह अनौपचारिक इंग्लिश मुहावरा है, खासकर ब्रिटिश अंग्रेज़ी में। ज़्यादातर 'talk someone round' जैसे प्रयोगों में आता है। इसमें ज़बरदस्ती नहीं, सिर्फ़ समझाकर मनवाना शामिल है। अमेरिकन इंग्लिश में आमतौर पर 'talk into' या 'persuade' मिलता है।
