유명인, 스캔들, 소문 등 자극적인 이야기를 다루는 소형 대중 신문. 사진과 큰 제목이 많다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

보통 신뢰성이 떨어진다거나 진지하지 않다는 부정적인 의미로 사용함. 영어에서 'the tabloids'처럼 특정 집단을 지칭할 때 자주 쓴다. 'broadsheet'와 구분됨.
