'Swore' có nghĩa là ai đó đã hứa nghiêm túc hoặc đã nói lời tục tĩu.

Tùy vào ngữ cảnh: 'swore to...' nghĩa là hứa, 'swore at...' là chửi mắng ai đó. 'Swear' mạnh hơn 'promise'.
