किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु के चारों तरफ होना, या चारों तरफ से घेर लेना। इसका अर्थ घेरना या घेराबंदी भी हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

शाब्दिक और रूपक दोनों अर्थों में इस्तेमाल होता है: जैसे 'भवन को घेरना' या 'मित्रों से घिरा होना'। प्रायः passive ('be surrounded') में आता है। 'Circle' से न मिलाएँ, जो घुमाव के लिए है। 'Surroundings' का मतलब है वातावरण।
