Definition

কাউকে সরাসরি উত্তর না দিয়ে বা মূল বিষয়ে না এসে বিভ্রান্তিকর বা অস্পষ্টভাবে কথা বলা।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

অফিস, রাজনীতি বা আলোচনা চলাকালে কারও অস্পষ্ট বা এড়িয়ে যাওয়া বক্তব্য বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'beat around the bush' বা 'be evasive' এর মতো অনানুষ্ঠানিকভাবেই ব্যবহৃত হয়।
