Sou, Fransız tarihinde kullanılan, değeri çok düşük bir madeni paradır. Ayrıca çok az miktarda para anlamında da kullanılır.

‘Not a sou’ ifadesiyle hiç parası olmamak anlamı vurgulanır. Günlük konuşmada nadiren, daha çok eski metin ve deyimlerde rastlanır.
