Definition
Los enchufes son aberturas donde se conectan objetos, principalmente los agujeros en la pared donde se enchufan dispositivos eléctricos. También pueden referirse a aquellos donde se colocan bombillas o partes mecánicas.

'Sockets' se usa especialmente para tomas eléctricas en la pared. También puede referirse a 'light sockets' (portalámparas) o a partes mecánicas. Normalmente se dice 'enchufar en el enchufe' o 'sacar del enchufe'. No confundir con 'plug' (el enchufe macho).
