嫌なことや辛い気持ちから逃れるために、眠って時間をやり過ごすこと。何かを待っている間にも使う表現。

カジュアルな表現で、悩みや時間を「寝てやり過ごす」ときに使います。「sleep the day away」など、何かを寝て過ごす意味になる。フォーマルな場には不向きです。
