Definition

필요한 만큼 돈, 시간, 자원을 쓰지 않아 품질 저하나 부정적 결과가 생기는 것.

'skimp on'은 음식, 안전, 품질 등 필수적인 부분에서 과도하게 절약하면 안 된다고 할 때 자주 쓰인다. 비공식적인 표현이다.

Don't skimp on breakfast if you want to stay healthy.

건강을 위해 아침 식사에는 **절약하지** 마세요.

She always skimped on her homework and got low grades.
