因害怕、寒冷或厌恶而突然抖动或颤抖；可以形容人，也可以形容物体如机器。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))
多用于形容因强烈情绪或寒冷而颤抖的人，也可形容像汽车发动机这种强烈震动的物体。比单纯的'shaking'（摇晃）程度更强。常与'with'加情感词连用，如'shuddering with fear'。
