あいさつや別れ、または同意を表すために相手と手を握って上下に動かすこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ビジネスや初対面の挨拶、多くの正式・非公式な場面で使われるが、親しい家族とはあまりしない。取引成立時には「shake hands on it」という表現も使う。
