Definition
Significa aumentar a velocidade do motor de um veículo pressionando o acelerador, geralmente tornando o motor mais barulhento. Costuma ser usado com carros ou motocicletas.

Verbo informal, usado quase sempre para motores. É comum ouvir 'revved the engine' ou 'revved up.' Não é usado para pessoas/em emoções, exceto figurativamente ('revved up' = animado/empolgado).
