Definition

特定の本や資料、デバイスなどに書かれている言葉や情報を見て内容を理解すること。情報の出所をはっきりさせる時によく使う表現です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「read from the book」「read from the screen」など、指示や説明でよく使われる。一般的な「読む」とは違い、出所を明確にしたい時に用いる。
