"rafters" in Bengali
Definition
ছাদ ধরে রাখার জন্য ব্যবহৃত তির্যক কাঠ বা ধাতব কাঠামো, যা সাধারণত দুটি দেয়ালের ওপরে ছাদের চূড়া পর্যন্ত চলে।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
বিশেষত নির্মাণ ও স্থাপত্যে বহুবচনে ('rafters') ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'up in the rafters' বলতে অনেক উঁচুতে কিছু বোঝাতে পারে (শুধু কাঠামো নয়)।
