何かに反対する意思を公に示すために集まったりデモをしたりする人たち。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「抗議者」は中立的な語で、さまざまな目的のデモ参加者全般に使います。「集まる」「行進する」「叫ぶ」などの動詞とよく組み合わせます。ネット上の静かな抗議者には使いません。
