Uma barreira sólida que pode ser aberta ou fechada para entrar ou sair de uma divisão, edifício ou veículo.

Refere-se ao objeto físico, mas também pode ser usado figurativamente ('porta de oportunidade'). Expressões comuns: 'abrir a porta', 'fechar a porta', 'porta principal'. Não confundir com 'portão' (porta grande exterior).
