Definition

物や食べ物などをふっくらとさせたり、丸くやわらかくすること。枕やクッションをたたいてふくらませる時などにも使う。

カジュアルな表現。枕・クッションや料理でよく使い、人の場合はやや稀で、失礼なニュアンスは少ない。「plump up the pillows」「plump up raisins」などの形でよく使う。
