특정 장소, 경기, 단체(경기장, 리그, 영화 등)에서 경기를 하거나 공연에 참여하다.

'Play in'은 장소, 행사, 단체, 경기와 함께 쓰임("play in the World Cup", "play in a band"). 스포츠와 예술에서 사용됨. 장난감 등과 놀 때는 'play with'를 사용.
