応急処置をする仲直りする

Definition

何かを素早く、一時的に修理すること。また、喧嘩の後で関係を改善することも指す。

カジュアルな表現。「patch up a tire」は応急修理、「patch up after a fight」は仲直り。完全な修理ではなく、一時的な対応をイメージ。

They tried to patch up the hole in the wall.
