契約や訴訟などの合意・行為に直接関わる人や団体。特に法的な関わりがある場合に使われます。

法的・公式な場面で使われる表現です。「契約の当事者」「訴訟の当事者」など、直接関わりや責任を持つ場合に使います。パーティー（宴会）の意味ではありません。
