二つ以上の物が合わなかったり、見た目や性質が合わないときに使います。色や服、組み合わせで使われることが多いです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話でよく使われ、靴下やペアのものに多い表現です。「mismatched socks」のように、合うはずのものに使います。性格や考え方にも使われることがあります。
