অসত্য বা মিথ্যা বলার প্রবণতা; ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে সত্য গোপন করা বা বিভ্রান্তিকর কথা বলা।

'mendacity' সাধারণত লেখালিখি ও আনুষ্ঠানিক আলোচনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়; দৈনন্দিন কথাবার্তায় নয়। 'mendacious' বিশেষণ, এটি আলাদা।
