大きなスプーン（おたま）でスープやソースなどの液体を別の容器に移すこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に料理で使われ、特にスープやシチューなどを丁寧にすくう際に用いられます。「ladling out」は分けて配るという意味でも使われます。
