어떤 그룹이나 조직, 모임의 일원이 되는 것. 군대에 입대하는 의미로도 사용된다.

'join up'은 비격식적 표현으로, 군대 입대나 친구들과 무리 지을 때 자주 사용됩니다. 'join'보다는 더 구어체이고, 'sign up'(등록하다)과는 달라요.
